This weekend we drove to Iso-Syote, about 2,5 hours North-East of Lumijoki, to spend the weekend at our friends' summer house. Emett and Antti bought a lot at Iso-Syote, which is a popular ski resort, where they will build a spec house next summer. The lot is right next door to the Bragge's summer house. So this weekend was mainly about clearing the trees off the property. And also having fun with our friends.

Our boys and the Bragge boys are best friends. Aleksi and Jasper are 6 months apart, Aleksi being the younger one, and Otso and Anton are 1 month apart. Both "couples" played nicely outside, building forts and digging for treasures. The big boys also hung out at the property watching their dads fall trees. The biggest tree was about 300 years old (Nordic spruce) and about two feet in diameter at the bottom. It was a shame to have to cut it down, but we couldn't think of a way to intergrate it as a part of the livingroom furniture, ha ha...

The boys were creating new games, building with Geomags, and of course, causing mischief... Despite all the noise and the wrestling and fighting it's nice to see those kids play together. We all had a good time and are planning on doing it again some day! We are lucky to have such good friends as Antti, Leila, Jasper and Anton.
