Linus turned 4 months two days ago. He's a happy, semi-mobile, giggling, fist chewing, drooling little baby. The best. It's amazing that one can love someone so much. Sometimes it feels like my chest is about to burst. It makes me wonder, if I loved the other two as much when they were small? I'm sure I did. I do love them all, they are by far the best accomplishment of my life.
Linus can stay up for about two hours now before he needs another nap. He usually takes three naps every day, the first one being the longest (2-3 hours). He sleeps outside in his stroller, all bundled up, warm and comfy. I wonder if Finns are the only people (sure...) who put their kids down for a nap outside. We do it in the winter too, as long as it's not too cold. Too cold for our standards means it's below -10 degrees Celsius (so about 20 F?). All of our kids have loved sleeping outside. It must be the fresh air.
Linus usually wakes up once or twice a night. Last night he woke up more often, I don't know how many times, because he was a little stuffy. I haven't started him on solid foods yet, and am not planning on it either. Well, of course eventually I will, heh, most likely when he's about 6 months old. So two more months of mother's wonderful milk only for the little one. I really enjoy breastfeeding. It's wonderful to hold the baby and know that you are nurturing him to grow and develop into a big boy. He already seems like a big baby, he's not a tiny newborn anymore. 4 months go by really fast.
Now the baby's "in park" outside and I have a load of dishes to do. Last night I celebrated my 33rd birthday (no laughing or "ha-ha"s!!) and had a few people over for cake. I made a new kind of a cake, it turned out pretty nice and yummy. I didn't have the guts to take a picture of it though, like the "pros" do. :D Oh well, maybe next time I will.
